چکیده

Adiponectin plays critical roles in the regulation of energy metabolism mammals. However, its fish remain to be evaluated. In this study, we examined tissue distribution characteristics two adiponectin genes, namely, adipoqa and adipoqb, at transcriptional level, detected changes their mRNA expressions during oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT). Furthermore, prepared recombinant proteins grass carp A B studied hepatopancreas vivo. The results showed that was mainly expressed heart carp, followed by red muscle, white adipose tissue, while adipoqb highly muscle. levels muscle were significantly decreased 1 h post OGTT, also suppressed 3 h, whereas elevated 12 after load. Intraperitoneal injection or reduced basal serum caused an increase glycogen content hepatopancreas. upregulated expression enzyme genes related glycolysis (gk pk) synthesis (gys) hepatopancreas, promoted pk gys, as well g6pase glycogenetic pathway. Besides, have opposite regulatory effects on glut2 expression. These suggested glycolysis, gluconeogenesis, synthesis, increased blood they may antagonistic mechanism regulating uptake.

Purification and characterization of 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase (6-PGD) from grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) hepatopancreas.

6-Phosphogluconate dehydrogenase (6-PGD, E.C.: 1.1.1.44) was purified and characterized from the hepatopancreas of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) for the first time. Grass carp represents the second largest aquaculture industry in the world after silver carp, constituting 14.7% of the world aquaculture production, with an average annual increase of 14% in China, mainly as a source of food...

Case report of chondroma in a grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella)

The grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) is a herbivorous, freshwater fish species of the family Cyprinidae, and the only species of the genus Ctenopharyngodon. Neoplasms in fishes are generally less aggressive than neoplasms in mammals and are most commonly discrete, focal and benign neoplasms. A 3-year-old grass carp with a big mass on the vertebrae was referred to the clinic. According to the...

Insights into the Antiviral Immunity against Grass Carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) Reovirus (GCRV) in Grass Carp

Global fish production from aquaculture has rapidly grown over the past decades, and grass carp shares the largest portion. However, hemorrhagic disease caused by grass carp reovirus (GCRV) results in tremendous loss of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) industry. During the past years, development of molecular biology and cellular biology technologies has promoted significant advances in the...

Protective Roles of Grass Carp Ctenopharyngodon idella Mx Isoforms against Grass Carp Reovirus

BACKGROUND Myxovirus resistance (Mx) proteins are crucial effectors of the innate antiviral response against a wide range of viruses, mediated by the type I interferon (IFN-I) signaling pathway. However, the antiviral activity of Mx proteins is diverse and complicated in different species. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS In the current study, two novel Mx genes (CiMx1 and CiMx3) were identifie...

Effects of Feeding Frequency on Growth Performance and Survival Rate of Grass Carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella)

In present study the effect of feeding frequency on growth performance, feed efficiency and survival rate of juvenile of grass carp were investigated. Three groups of juvenile grass carp (average weight 4.31±0.1 g) designed with three feeding frequencies one meal a day (D1), two meals a day (D2) and four meals a day (D3) with two replicates of each treatment combination were applied in this exp...
